W. Brett Wilson is best known for being a "fan-favourite" on CBC’s hit reality TV show Dragons’ Den where he established himself as the all time lead deal-making "dragon." Brett co-founded FirstEnergy Capital Corp. (once Canada’s leading energy investment bank) and has since gone on to develop extensive holdings in the energy, real estate, cannabis, agriculture, sports and entertainment industries. Brett continues to simplify and organize his life to focus on what is most important - his family, friends and health.

Looking at his long-standing community contributions, Brett has been a prominent and longstanding advocate for his community and has been involved in numerousinitiatives including participating in Kids' Cancer Care fundraising and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to support Alzheimer's research. He has for many years made annual trips with Youth with a Mission to Mexico to build homes for those less advantaged.

In the realm of education, Brett has shown a dedication to providing opportunities for learning and skill development.

He has given, and engaged others to give, tensof millions to non-profit initiatives, including significant support for the University of Saskatchewan to fund the W. Brett Wilson Centre for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
